Project descriptionThis project used sequential mixed methods to assess agrobiodiversity and dietary diversity IN Rongai sub-county, Nakuru, Kenya. Small holder farmer households with mother of children 6-23 months participated. The study demonstrated poor nutritional status among women and children despite differences in agrobiodiversity in low and high agricultural potential areas. Behaviour change communication strategies may help address low knowledge and poor attitudes affecting consumption of variety of foods and cultural practices that limit diet diversity.
